Earth Treks, Columbia and Timonium Maryland: Mountaineering Expeditions and Indoor Climbing Gyms
so how's it been? looks like a warm day tomorrow, 55 deg high, or about 10C. should be awesome- hueco tanks promises to be even more amazing. ed brown and i, tearing down the walls and bouldering hard, watch out sharma, here we come!
it's been 6 years since joinimg the armed forces, and sure seems like yesterday i was getting a haircut on a sunny island. BMTC food seemed great, i had a nosebleed one night- all good. it wasn't all that long ago either i would hang out on the track and pretend to do pole vault, or go hiking/camping with the dudes, in the foursome tent from hell. drinking lots of drinks while sitting by the beach hoping for a bite, toughing it out. sorta. and then it wasnt so long ago either when fort canning rise was the hangout. i wonder how it is now. or how anything at home is now, since i havent been home for almost 2 years and i'm sure singapore has changed beyond belief.
zai clique guys are all good just doing various things it seems, people going to start getting married and stuff in due course. if i could see the future, it might be pretty neat, or it might be pretty dark. anyway the experience of life i find worthwhile, not the checkpoints.
why the random philosopical urge? hmm. cos shes "got a brand new soul... got a cross of gold", maybe or is it the realization that impermanence and insignificance are things that i have accepted as part of life? it's all pretty good to me, but to some people, it seems to be a desperate thing. remember when religion ruled the world they called it the dark ages. hmmm ok moving on.
well erin if you read this good luck doing all the things on that checklist. and call me soon damn it. might wear some shorts tomorrow, for the hell of it.
