Jane's Naval Forces Section
well i'm back from hueco tanks... what a spring break that was! infinitely better than getting drunk on some beach and ending up a thousand bucks poorer. amazing scenery, great climbing and awesome folks out there, ladies and gentlemen. while it was with a heavy heart that i had to return to real life, it's pretty neat that i'm almost done with the whole student thing. anyway, life goes on.

hopefully i'll post some picture up soon on webshots, once again, this is available by clicking on the link to the right here. but in the meantime, it's back to work work and work work. georgetown wants me tonight. rrr.

this must be less intelligible than my previous posts, but remember that i am typing this with no fingertips, and digital sensitivity has been decreased from abrasion on desert rock. more to follow.

Earth Treks, Columbia and Timonium Maryland: Mountaineering Expeditions and Indoor Climbing Gyms
so how's it been? looks like a warm day tomorrow, 55 deg high, or about 10C. should be awesome- hueco tanks promises to be even more amazing. ed brown and i, tearing down the walls and bouldering hard, watch out sharma, here we come!

it's been 6 years since joinimg the armed forces, and sure seems like yesterday i was getting a haircut on a sunny island. BMTC food seemed great, i had a nosebleed one night- all good. it wasn't all that long ago either i would hang out on the track and pretend to do pole vault, or go hiking/camping with the dudes, in the foursome tent from hell. drinking lots of drinks while sitting by the beach hoping for a bite, toughing it out. sorta. and then it wasnt so long ago either when fort canning rise was the hangout. i wonder how it is now. or how anything at home is now, since i havent been home for almost 2 years and i'm sure singapore has changed beyond belief.

zai clique guys are all good just doing various things it seems, people going to start getting married and stuff in due course. if i could see the future, it might be pretty neat, or it might be pretty dark. anyway the experience of life i find worthwhile, not the checkpoints.

why the random philosopical urge? hmm. cos shes "got a brand new soul... got a cross of gold", maybe or is it the realization that impermanence and insignificance are things that i have accepted as part of life? it's all pretty good to me, but to some people, it seems to be a desperate thing. remember when religion ruled the world they called it the dark ages. hmmm ok moving on.

well erin if you read this good luck doing all the things on that checklist. and call me soon damn it. might wear some shorts tomorrow, for the hell of it.

the rambleshack
heh a little bit of self-linkage, don't know what that's going to do.

someone said that we're always dying, every second of the day, every breath. hence every breath is full of life? ah so. well i'm all about the happily going on spring break and climbing, breathing and soaking it all up. indeedily.

ah, a fine wintry day at annapolis. trying to paint the room, but the company store ran out of paint. aw shucks. well it's all good for now. a quiet day, with plenty of time for recreation and relaxation. dark ages dinner, etc... a good time. when i get my mac up and trucking, we'll have plenty more fun pictures for perusal.

in the meantime, breathe easy.
